This is a pair of shoe trees or stretchers with a wooden screw mechanism which still works
Both are stamped "Ladies Extra Large" on their undersides and "Top" on their tops. They were working tools, both have old scars and scratched and there are some old (long dead) woodworm holes on the underside of one
