This Brazilian stirrup is made of nickel. It probably dates from the late 19th or early 20th Century. It is decorated on each side with a bust of a figure - a woman or an indigenous warrior with a feather headress?
The underside of the tread is stamped "Solid Nickel", the stirrup was probably made in Walsall in the UK
