Hand Forged Cradle or Hussar Pattern Stirrup - Stirrup130

A single stirrup. This is hand wrought in steel.

It has a dark russet patina
It is  heavier in construction than other cavalry stirrups I have seen - it is possibly earlier, late 18th or very early 19th century.
The stirrup is of hussar or cradle pattern , its tread is a small hammered oval. 

There are no marks or stamps visible.
