This is a fifth edition of this book published in 1901. It has green cloth boards with the remains of a paper label on the spine, there is no dust jacket. The edges of the cover are worn and there are several marks on the cover. There are copious notes from a previous owner inside the front and back covers, including an intriguing section on"Points of Camel". Some sections of the text have been underlined. A slip of paper with corrections of errata has been inserted at page 80 and page 438. It has 56 plates showing stable plans, grasses, weeds, anatomy of the limbs, conformation, teeth and shoeing. Chapters cover stable design, pasture, anatomy, various veterinary conditions, conformation and shoeing.
