This whip has a staghorn or antler handle with a raised "gatepusher" section. It has a silver collar, this is hallmarked London 1899 and has the silversmith's stamp "JS". There are many small dents and dings in the collar where it has been used to open gates. The stock or shaft is made of golden segmented whangee cane.. It has its original leather open keeper or loop at its end.
