Large antique steel horse breaking or mouthing bit with players - Bit843

This heavy steel bit has a very dark patina and a pitted but stable surface.
It has loose turning bit rings.

It is large and must have been made for a heavy draft horse.

The "cannons" of the jointed mouthpiece are solid steel and much heavier than similar hollow examples

The bit has a central link from which hangs a small plate with four keys or players 

This bit is not marked or stamped
