It has red cloth boards, the corners are scuffed and there are white marks on the front cover. The book would have originally had a pictorial dust jacket - this has been lost but a previous owner has pasted part of it to the inside front cover
There is a little internal foxing
It has many black and white illustrations by Colin Dilly
The book is partly a riding and horse care instruction manual and partly a novel
