Pair of Antique Gilt Brass Box Spurs by Maxwell - Spur521o

A pair of gilt brass box spurs by Maxwell of Piccadilly.
The long necks are curved or swan-necked.

There are cast decorative screw heads on the end of each heel band
The spurs have circular rowels with star decoration
The necks are stamped "Maxwell"
The spurs have steel inserts that fit into the heels of the boots
These inserts are stamped "Left" and "Right" on one side and "181 Piccadilly, London" on the other

They are in very good condition

Internal width 6cm (approx 2⅜"), neck 5cm (2"), rowel 2cm (¾")
Weight : 92g (3¼ oz)
