These heavy spurs are made of silver. The heel bands and necks have fluted or dragooned decoration. They have many pointed steel rowels which still turn freely, there is a little surface oxidation on the rowels. Each heel band ends in a button, the outer button on each spur is shaped as a flower. The spurs have chains which fasten with a clip with floral decoration. Both spurs are stamped "Co.Silva, the mark of Candido Silva. Candido Silva was born in Montevideo, Uruguay in 1817 and move to Buenos Aires around 1830.
