A matched pair of brass spurs
Both sides of both spurs are decorated with a cast feather pattern.
There are buttons on the end of each heel band, these are decorated with the head of a bearded man wearing a hat or a helmet - possibly a conquistador ?
The inside surfaces of the heel bands also have floral decoration
There are heel plates with pierced star decoration.
The spurs have quite large nine pointed rowels
There is a two centavo coin on each side of each rowel, one of these is dated 1884.
There are no maker's marks or stamps.
Both spurs have a chains attached to the top of their heel plates, these fasten with a floral catch. Part of one chain is missing.
