These stirrups are made from a white metal alloy, they have been plated with a silver coloured metal They have narrow treads. Below there there are semicircular panels decorated with the Brazilian emblem of a star surrounded by tobacco & coffee leaves and a banner which reads "Estados Unidos Do Brazil, 15 de Novembre de 1889". This wording changed in 1964.
They are stamped on their upper arches "Metbranco garantido", "144" and with Eberle's trademark of a knotted horn These stirrups have been used a lot, the upper parts of their suspension loops show considerable wear and there is a split in one of the treads.
