A matched pair of spurs made of a silver coloured metal, probably Alpacca or a silver or nickel alloy. Both sides of both spurs are decorated with a feather pattern.
The spur necks are cast in the shape of horse heads. They have quite large steel many pointed rowels There is a silver metal disc on each side of each rowel. There are no maker's marks or stamps. Both spurs have a pair of wide chains attached to the top of their necks, these fasten with a floral catch. There is also another heavy chain attached to the buttons on the end of each spur's heel bands.
They are likely to have been made in Argentina or Uruguay
