This is a late 19th or early 20th century steel driving bit . It has a few dark tarnished areas but could be burnished to a shine.
The cheeks are stamped "Best Steel". The straight bar mouthpiece is half-twisted or reversible. It is stamped "B.C." The cheeks can turn, each has two curb rein slots.
The bit has its original steel curb hooks and heavy curb chain.
