Vintage Braided Leather Handled Fly Whisk - w1593

I understand that whisks such as these were made in Britain for use in warmer climates during WW1.

This example has a short shaft or handle covered in braided leather.

There is a braided leather wrist strap attached to the Turk's head knot at its top

 The horsehair whisk is black and chestnut.

It is in very good condition, there are no maker's marks
