It has two silver coloured collars, probably nickel,there are a few small dents in the metal. One collar is stamped "Steel Lined". Between the collars the shaft or stock is covered in dark brown leather with a finely stitched seam. The rest of the stock or shaft is covered in braided linen or hemp. The whip has its original leather keeper or loop.
