Vintage Ladies' or Youth's Hunting Whip with Thong - w1780

This whip has a staghorn or antler handle with a raised "gatepusher" section.

It has a two nickel collars with ribbed edges .  They are not stamped or engraved .

Between the collars the whip is covered in braided brown leather, there is a small (1.5mm) area of damage to the leather .

The rest of the stock or shaft is covered in cream coloured braided leather.

It has its original stitched leather keeper or tongue and a fine braided leather thong with a loop at the end.

One strand of the braiding is damaged about four inches (10cm) from the end of the thong.
