These are made of black waxed leather with leather soles They have brown leather tops.
These boots have seen a lot of wear, they have patched repairs at the front of each ankle and on the inside of the left ankle. There is also a 3 inch (8cm) split in the stitching of the back seam. There are also scratches and areas of creasing and rubbing and the heels are somewhat worn
The boots have four part wooden trees with hinged feet . Each tree has two finger holes in the top of its central section.
The trees were probably originally made for military boots, they have a number and a broad arrow stamped on them. The left tree is also stamped :

The tree of the left boot is also packed out with extra pieces of wood .
