This conical flask has a silver plated bayonet or captured cap. There is a dent in one side of the cap. The flask is handblown heavy crystal
The dark brown coloured case has is stamped on the girth strap "McMullen, Dublin", Bartholomew McMullen established a saddlery business at 54, Dawson Street, Dublin in 1813 and I have found advertisements for the company dated 1902 and 1910.
The case closes with a billet fastening There is a gouge in the leather beside the closing strap - please see the images
The case has a replacement top strap which attaches the flask to the D ring of the saddle.
The girth strap is arranged so that the flask sit on the near side of the saddle.
