This is a very good quality tan coloured leather case .
It shows very little wear, the fine stitching is very good and all the buckles and straps are in good order. The closing strap is stained and has some surface insect damage. It has a D ring for attachment of a girth strap. The case would fit on the off-side of the saddle.
The body is lined in doeskin or chamois which is in good clean condition. The lid is not lined.
Inside there is a double hinged plated sandwich tin. The tin is in very good condition, inside it is gilt washed. It is not stamped. There is also a rectangular flask with a bayonet or captured cap.
