This is a vintage rectangular leather case which closes with a billet fastening.
The leather is mahogany coloured with a good patina. Its stitching is very good. The buckles and straps which would attach to the D-rings of the saddle are in good order.
The case is lined in cream coloured doeskin or chamois
Inside there is a double hinged plated sandwich tin. This is stamped inside with a trumpet and banner and "916L" and "Made in England, Swaine Brigg, London". The tin is in good condition, although the back is lightly rubbed.
