WW1 Caltrop - cav068

Caltrops are defensive weapons put in the way of cavalry or vehicles to stop onward progress. 

This is very like an example in the Imperial War Museum. 

It is made of two pieces of iron or steel welded together.

 The points are very sharp.

It is in good, solid condition with a dark aged patina.

Dimensions : 5" (12.5cm) across
